“Each time I work with a body, I ultimately strive to assist it in clearing the energetic remnants of the past which no longer serve, so that the body may move forward on its journey.”

As we start on our journey, the patient and I take some time to get to know each other. While the animal acclimates themselves to the new relationship, I ask for a general and medical history, and we discuss the reason for the visit and wellness goals.

Small animals are given access to lay on one of the Clearspace tourmaline-based beds or mat products and horses are horses are fitted with a Clear Crown halter piece. These products emit far infrared and negative ions thereby preparing, facilitating, magnifying and prolonging the effects of massage, energy, and bodywork.

Treatment begins using by using an Aura Soma® colour, selected either by myself or by the animal’s person, to affect the physical and/or energetic body. Next, I begin a palpation scan of the physical body using Tui Na, engaging the fourteen major acupuncture meridians. The acupuncture points have openings along the spinal column and are similar in nature to electrical circuits. As I move over and assess the points, I feel deficiencies or excesses as cold or heat and begin to work with areas in need to restore balance.

Then I progress through a series of movements to open the lymphatic system, which will ensure efficient collection and removal of waste products from the body as we activate and reset the body’s systems during and following treatment.

After the lymphatic system is engaged, I follow with chiropractic work with an approach that addresses the body as a whole. All the nerves responsible for the body’s systems and functioning originate from the spine. Nerves operate at their full potential when they are free from constriction along the spine outward through the joints of the extremities. Often joints are limited in their range of motion; so too is the proper function of the nervous system. Abnormal or “out” areas create congestion or static in the nervous system that interferes with communication. Thus, my goal at each session is to passively move each joint through the available range of motion to effectively “reset” the nervous system allowing the body to operate at its full potential. As a supportive, whole body therapy, Chiropractic work acts to clear static from the nervous system and open pathways for clear and effective communication to the rest of the body.

Based on history and what I have learned from the body during the session, I then formulate an acupuncture treatment to affect the electrical system of the body. There are 14 major, and countless smaller meridians or “circuits” situated along pathways in the body. Static along a circuit results in compromise or complete blockage of natural energy through a meridian. Imagine the body, as a busy and intricate transportation system impeded by a snarl of traffic… acupuncture is the clearing of blocked roadways, restoring maximum functioning and optimum movement throughout the system.

As the animal is allowed to “process” the acupuncture treatment, I work with pure frequency using colour and light to reactivate the newly restored circuits. colour is frequency, and when directed via light into the body’s meridians and chakras it encourages the circuit to reactivate and resonate at its particular frequency. The combination of colour and light are energetically supportive and appear to soothe and comfort the body.

The acupuncture, and colour and light therapy continue until it is evident that the body systems have settled and are operating as freely as currently possible. The process of assimilation takes an average of 20-30 minutes, however, the process may take up to two hours. Clients should be aware that treatment times vary depending on the condition of the animal and how it responds to treatment on a particular day.

During this time, the client and I discuss treatment and lifestyle protocol, including but not limited to: diet, herbal remedies, supplements, and medications. Often, the client and the patient simply have time to enjoy being together. When the treatment is complete, the acupuncture needles are removed. I complete a final assessment scan, using tui na, to be certain all issues have been addressed. Finally, the healing session is closed with appropriate colour therapy to solidify treatment and support the animal on its journey.
